Former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, is set to mark the 25th anniversary of his entry into public service with a series of donations and support programmes for vulnerable groups. The activities are expected to focus on people facing economic hardship and communities in need of assistance, as the former Lagos lawmaker reflects on his years of public service and political involvement.

Obanikoro, who has held several political positions over the years, plans to use the anniversary to give back to society through interventions targeted at vulnerable individuals and groups. The initiative is expected to include the distribution of relief materials and other forms of assistance aimed at easing the difficulties faced by beneficiaries.

The anniversary activities are also expected to bring together political associates, community leaders, friends, family members and other stakeholders who have been part of Obanikoro’s public service journey. The programme is intended not only as a celebration of his years in politics but also as an opportunity to recognise the communities and individuals who have supported him throughout his career.

Obanikoro has served in different capacities at both the state and federal levels, including as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and later as a senator representing Lagos Central. He also served as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, giving him experience in both legislative and executive responsibilities during his public career.

The planned donations are expected to form a major part of the anniversary programme, with the beneficiaries drawn from vulnerable sections of society. The organisers said the initiative reflects Obanikoro’s desire to mark the milestone through practical support for people rather than limiting the celebration to ceremonies and political gatherings.
