“NOT HIS BIOLOGICAL SON” – ACTRESS OPEYEMI AIYEOLA CLEARS THE AIR ON IBRAHIM CHATTA’S LOSS
Actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has spoken out to clarify the misunderstanding surrounding reports of actor Ibrahim Chatta’s recent bereavement.
On Saturday, Chatta took to Instagram to announce the painful passing of someone dear to him, describing the deceased as his “son.” The post led many to believe he had lost his biological child, prompting a flood of condolences from fans, friends, and colleagues in the film industry.
Among those who initially sympathized with him was Opeyemi Aiyeola, who offered prayers for strength and divine comfort for Chatta and his family.
However, in a new Instagram update, Aiyeola clarified that the late boy was not Chatta’s biological son but his godson, whom the actor cherished deeply and treated as his own.
“Ibrahim Chatta didn’t lose his biological son but a godson, who was also like a son to him. May his pure soul continue to rest peacefully. It’s been an extremely emotional ride so far. God have mercy,” she wrote.
A review of Chatta’s Instagram page also showed that he has since edited his original post to reflect that the deceased was indeed his godson.
