NORTHERN SENATORS CALL FOR STRONGER MILITARY RESPONSE IN ADAMAWA
Northern senators have called for an immediate military offensive against insurgents operating in Adamawa State following recent attacks on security formations in the state.
The lawmakers said the attacks underscored the need for a stronger and sustained security response to prevent insurgents from gaining ground and threatening communities.
They urged the Federal Government and security agencies to intensify operations in affected areas while improving coordination among the various security formations.
The senators also called for measures to protect residents and restore confidence in communities affected by insecurity.
They said the military should sustain pressure on insurgents and strengthen its presence in vulnerable areas to prevent further attacks.
The demand comes amid renewed security concerns in parts of the North-East, where insurgent activity continues to pose challenges to residents and security personnel.
The lawmakers stressed that protecting lives and restoring stability should remain a priority in the affected communities.
