Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has garnered widespread prayers and support from fans as she announces plans to provide free JAMB registration for 1,000 students.
The actress revealed the initiative on her Instagram page, stating that the registrations are fully sponsored by her charity, the Tonto Dikeh Foundation. However, she clarified that the offer is available only to residents of Port Harcourt, Lagos, and Abuja.
“At the Tonto Dikeh Foundation, education is at the heart of our mission. We believe every child deserves access to quality education and the opportunity to reach their full potential. By the grace of God, we support 5,000 Nigerian students each year through full or partial sponsorships.
Beyond covering educational expenses, our goal is to empower young minds to become responsible, skilled individuals who contribute meaningfully to national development.
PS: Phone numbers for the state coordinators will be shared next week. Please no DMs. This initiative is sponsored by @officialthetontodikehfoundation on behalf of @kingandredikehfoundation.”
The announcement has been met with excitement, with many fans flooding her comment section with prayers and well-wishes.
Tonto Dikeh has a long history of philanthropy. Last year, she received an award for her humanitarian work, emphasizing that the recognition serves as a reminder that consistent love, intentional service, and unshakable purpose always speak louder than words. Through her foundation, she has helped over 3,000 girls return to school each year and has advocated for marginalized communities by constructing roads for people with disabilities.
In a special welfare outreach on Pastor Jerry’s birthday, Tonto provided wheelchairs to a disabled colony, awarded 50 educational scholarships, and fed over 2,000 people. Previously, she also supported three amputees with prosthetic legs, celebrating their resilience through a video of them dancing despite their disabilities.
During the 2022 Christmas season, the single mother of one donated hundreds of bags of rice, cash, and other essentials to widows and the elderly. She has also covered the school fees of 1,000 Nigerian students, reiterating her belief that every child deserves access to education and opportunities for a brighter future.
