Veteran Nollywood actor Don Richard has made an emotional appeal to the public for financial assistance as he continues his battle with kidney disease.

In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram by his colleague and TV host Biola Bayo, the actor opened up about his deteriorating health and the toll it has taken on his family and finances.

Fighting back tears, Don Richard revealed that his wife was devastated upon hearing the diagnosis.

“When my wife was told about my health, she started crying. And I told her that another man is a lucky man. I begged her to take good care of our children—our twins,” he said.

In a desperate bid to save his life, his wife sold both their house and car to pay for his medical treatments.

“Immediately she left the hospital, she went to dispose of our house and car for my treatment. I have nothing left anymore,” Richard added.

Biola Bayo, while sharing the video, confirmed that Don Richard has been suffering from kidney disease for some time now and encouraged fans and well-meaning Nigerians to support him in any way they can.
