NNPC RECORDS ZERO VOLUNTARY EXITS FOR SECOND YEAR
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited recorded no voluntary resignations among its employees for the second consecutive year, according to its 2025 annual financial report.
The report showed a zero per cent withdrawal-from-service rate across employee age groups below 60 in both 2024 and 2025.
NNPC said the retention figures reflected employees’ confidence in the company’s future, career development opportunities, job security and its transformation into a commercially driven energy company.
The company’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Andy Odeh, said the absence of voluntary exits suggested that employees continued to see opportunities for growth and professional fulfilment within the organisation.
The report showed that the only 100 per cent withdrawal rate was recorded among employees aged 60, reflecting retirement rather than voluntary resignation.
NNPC said retaining skilled employees remained important as it continues its transition into a commercially focused energy company.
The company’s 2025 financial results showed that profit after tax rose by 33 per cent to N7.2tn despite a decline in revenue.
NNPC also reported stronger operating cash flow and a reduction in net debt during the year.
The company said it would continue focusing on production growth, asset reliability, cost management and gas development as part of its long-term strategy.
