Tragic news emerged from Texas, USA, where Bode Moses Ologan, a 48-year-old Nigerian truck driver, was discovered dead inside his truck on November 7, 2025.

Ologan, originally from Owo, Ondo State, lived in Arlington, Texas, with his three children: Semilore, Semilogo, and Semilola. In the wake of his sudden death, friends and associates quickly set up a GoFundMe account to support his family with funeral and related expenses.

The fundraising campaign, titled “Help Bode Ologan’s Family in Their Grief” and created by Omolade Adeduro, shared a heartfelt message:

“Hello, the family and friends of Bode Ologan regret to announce his death on Friday, November 7th, 2025. He lived a fulfilling life and left behind three children. Please help his children and family raise money for his funeral arrangements and other necessary expenses. Any amount is appreciated. May his soul rest in peace.”

As of November 17, the GoFundMe account had raised $5,053 from about 69 donors, with a goal of $30,000 ahead of the burial scheduled for November 20, 2025.

Tributes have poured in from friends, acquaintances, and the Arlington community. Lawyer Emem Akpabio, who revealed that Ologan was her first client, shared her condolences, noting that she had helped him gain full custody of his children eight years ago.

Social media users also expressed their grief:

“Bode has gone too soon; so sad to see this of his passing to the great beyond. May God be with his children and the rest of his beloved family and friends,” wrote Aboukia Fessibay.

The sudden loss of Bode Ologan has deeply affected his family and community, highlighting the challenges faced by Nigerians living abroad and the outpouring of support from those whose lives he touched.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
