NIGERIAN POLICE OFFICER SLUMPS AND DIES AT HIS HOME IN MARARABA
A 54-year-old police officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Cyril Takim, serving at the AIG Zone 7 Headquarters, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has reportedly died suddenly at his residence in Aku Village Base 3, Mararaba.
According to reports, the tragic incident occurred around 2:50 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, when ASP Takim reportedly slumped and became unconscious while using the bathroom.
His son, Courage Takim Ogar, aged 21, immediately rushed him to the Medical Center, Mararaba, where a doctor confirmed him dead on arrival.
Police detectives later visited the scene to examine the body. Sources confirmed that no marks of violence or signs of foul play were discovered during the examination.
The body has since been deposited in the hospital morgue for preservation, pending further administrative procedures.
Police authorities have classified the case as a sudden and unnatural death, adding that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
