NIGERIAN MAN DEPORTED FROM INDIA OVER VISA OVERSTAY, DRUG ALLEGATIONS
Indian authorities have deported a Nigerian national, Onyeukwu Victor, after he overstayed his visa and was allegedly involved in drug distribution activities.
The Hyderabad police carried out the deportation on Wednesday. Victor, who arrived in India on a student visa in 2021, reportedly remained in the country after his visa expired in 2024.
Investigations by the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing suggested that he had collaborated with drug suppliers and assisted in delivering substances to clients in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
Victor was apprehended in Banjara Hills. While no narcotics were found on him at the time, he was unable to provide valid documentation or explain his continued stay in India. Subsequent checks confirmed his visa overstay, leading to his deportation.
