NIGERIAN ARMY OPENS RECRUITMENT FOR 2026 SHORT SERVICE COMBATANT COURSE (SSC 49)

The Nigerian Army has announced the commencement of online applications for the 2026 Short Service Combatant (SSC) Course 49.

This was disclosed in a brief statement posted on the Army’s official Facebook page on Thursday, calling on eligible Nigerians to take advantage of the opportunity to serve their country.

According to the statement, the recruitment exercise “presents a unique opportunity for eligible Nigerians to serve their fatherland in the Combat Arms and Combat Support Arms of the Nigerian Army.”

Interested candidates are directed to visit the official recruitment portal via:

The Army also advised applicants to carefully review all registration guidelines and eligibility criteria before submitting their applications.

It added:

“Seize the opportunity and serve your fatherland with honour and courage.”

The Short Service Combatant Course is designed for qualified civilians and serving military personnel who wish to pursue a short-term commissioned career in the Nigerian Army.
