NICOLAS JACKSON AGREES PERSONAL TERMS FOR PERMANENT BAYERN MUNICH MOVE AFTER CHELSEA LOAN

Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson has reached an agreement with Bayern Munich over a permanent transfer once his current loan deal with the Bundesliga giants expires.

The Senegal international joined Bayern on a season-long loan from Chelsea during the summer transfer deadline day. According to reports from German outlet BILD (via Metro), Jackson has now agreed personal terms on a five-year deal with the German champions.

Bayern are said to have moved quickly to secure the striker’s commitment in order to prevent other clubs from attempting to sign him next year. The Bavarians will, however, hold off on negotiations with Chelsea over a transfer fee until a later date.

Jackson, 24, joined Chelsea from Villarreal but struggled for regular game time at Stamford Bridge. He slipped down manager Enzo Maresca’s pecking order following the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

A switch to Bayern Munich now looks set to offer him a fresh start, where he will hope to establish himself as a long-term attacking option under Vincent Kompany’s management.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
