Rap superstar Nicki Minaj has opened up about her unwavering support for U.S. President Donald Trump.

Speaking on Wednesday, the 43-year-old Trinidadian artist declared herself Trump’s “number one fan,” adding that criticism of the president only strengthens her loyalty.

“I will say that I am probably the president’s number one fan, and that’s not going to change,” Minaj said. “The hate or what people have to say does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him even more.”

Minaj also expressed her determination to defend the billionaire president against his critics, saying, “He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him. Amen.”

The support came after Trump invited Minaj on stage following her announcement backing “Trump Accounts,” initiatives designed to provide trust funds for children.
