The Nigerian Exchange Limited has inducted 103 newly qualified dealing clerks as part of efforts to strengthen professionalism, compliance and integrity within the Nigerian capital market.

The inductees were recognised after completing the required training and professional certification needed to operate as dealing clerks in the securities market.

Speaking at the induction ceremony, NGX officials stressed the importance of maintaining high professional standards as Nigeria’s capital market continues to develop.

The exchange noted that dealing clerks play an important role in the market by facilitating transactions and supporting the efficient functioning of the securities trading system.

The newly inducted professionals were urged to uphold ethical standards, comply with regulatory requirements and maintain transparency in their dealings.

The development is part of broader efforts by market institutions to build the capacity of professionals and strengthen investor confidence in Nigeria’s capital market.

NGX said continuous professional development remains important as financial markets evolve and become increasingly sophisticated.

The exchange also emphasised the need for market participants to understand and comply with established rules and regulations.

The induction of the new dealing clerks is expected to expand the pool of trained professionals within the market while supporting efforts to maintain orderly and transparent trading activities.
