Concern is growing over the reported abduction of Onyesom Peace Udoka, a young Nigerian lawyer who recently celebrated her call to the bar.

According to multiple social media posts from friends and family, Onyesom attended her call-to-bar ceremony in Abuja on Tuesday, September 23, and was traveling back to Benin City, Edo State, when she was allegedly kidnapped alongside her sister.

The circumstances surrounding their disappearance remain unclear, but friends have appealed to security agencies to launch an immediate search and ensure their safe return.

As of press time, the police have not yet issued an official statement on the incident.

The incident has sparked widespread concern online, with many Nigerians urging authorities to intensify efforts to combat kidnapping and improve traveler safety across the country’s highways.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
