NEW APP CONNECTS AFRICAN TRADERS DIRECTLY WITH VERIFIED FACTORIES

A new business-to-business platform, Godofreda, has been launched to help African traders discover and order products directly from verified manufacturers and vendors around the world.

Developed by Nigerian logistics and supply chain company Aimpexx, the platform is designed to reduce the reliance on sourcing middlemen by allowing buyers to connect more directly with factories.

According to the company, users can browse video content from manufacturers, follow factories, watch product launches, and place orders through the same platform.

Aimpexx said every factory and vendor listed on the platform undergoes verification before being allowed to offer products to buyers. The platform also provides payment processing, transparent pricing, buyer protection, and shipment tracking.

The company said the system was developed in response to challenges faced by African traders, including supplier verification, currency volatility, freight costs, and the risks associated with sending payments to overseas manufacturers.

Aimpexx founder and Chief Executive Officer, Olayanju Ifeoluwa, said the platform was created to address the trust gap that has affected cross-border trade between African buyers and international suppliers.

The company operates from Lagos and Guangzhou and said its existing logistics and supplier relationships will support transactions carried out through the platform.

The initiative is expected to give manufacturers greater access to African markets while helping traders source products with greater transparency.
