NECA LAUNCHES ISO CERTIFICATION PLATFORM FOR MSMES
The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) has launched a new ISO certification platform designed to help Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) meet international quality standards and improve their competitiveness.
The platform provides MSMEs with access to training, consultancy, and certification services for various ISO standards, including quality management, environmental management, and occupational health and safety. NECA officials noted that the initiative aims to bridge the gap between local businesses and global market requirements.
The association believes that ISO certification will enhance the credibility of Nigerian MSMEs, facilitate access to international markets, and attract more investment opportunities. It also emphasised the importance of quality standards in building consumer confidence and driving sustainable business growth.
Stakeholders welcomed the development, describing it as a timely intervention that will support the growth of the MSME sector, which forms the backbone of the Nigerian economy. They urged small businesses to take advantage of the platform to strengthen their operations and expand their reach.
NECA reaffirmed its commitment to empowering businesses through capacity building and advocacy for a conducive operating environment.
