The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) has expressed support for governance reforms aimed at improving electricity supply and strengthening Nigeria’s power sector.

The company said better governance structures, transparency, and effective coordination among stakeholders are essential to addressing persistent challenges affecting electricity generation, transmission, and distribution.

NDPHC noted that reforms focused on accountability and operational efficiency can help attract investment, improve infrastructure management, and enhance service delivery for electricity consumers.

Power sector experts said sustainable improvements in electricity supply require not only new investments but also stronger institutions, clearer regulations, and effective implementation of sector policies.

They added that improving governance across the power value chain will be critical to reducing operational challenges and ensuring reliable electricity access for homes and businesses.

NDPHC reaffirmed its commitment to working with government agencies and private sector partners to support initiatives that promote a more efficient, stable, and sustainable power sector in Nigeria.
