NDLEA DISMANTLES MULTI-BILLION-NAIRA METH LAB, ARRESTS MEXICAN AND FOUR NIGERIANS

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered and dismantled a suspected multi-billion-naira methamphetamine laboratory, leading to the arrest of a Mexican national and four Nigerians.

According to the agency, the operation was carried out following intelligence gathering and surveillance efforts aimed at disrupting illicit drug production and trafficking networks.

NDLEA officials said the facility was allegedly being used for the manufacture of methamphetamine, a highly regulated synthetic drug, with equipment and substances recovered during the raid.

The agency noted that the arrests represent a significant breakthrough in its ongoing campaign against drug-related crimes and transnational trafficking operations.

Investigators are working to determine the full scope of the network, including possible local and international connections linked to the operation.
