NCAA MEETS WITH AIRLINES OVER FLIGHT DISRUPTIONS, PASSENGER MISCONDUCT
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) is currently holding talks with domestic airline operators in Abuja to address growing concerns over flight disruptions and passenger-related issues.
The meeting was convened following complaints about frequent delays, cancellations, and the attitude of some airline staff. It also seeks to tackle regulatory concerns around unruly passenger behaviour, passenger handling protocols, and the overall travel experience.
Other matters on the agenda include unresolved refunds and compensation claims, stricter enforcement of in-flight phone switch-off instructions, as well as improved protection for cabin crew.
According to officials, the discussions are aimed at ensuring smoother operations in the aviation sector and restoring passenger confidence in domestic air travel.
