The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has formally presented Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as its candidate for the Kogi Central Senatorial by-election.

The development followed the completion of the party’s nomination process, which affirmed her candidacy ahead of the forthcoming poll.

Party officials described her emergence as a reflection of confidence in her leadership qualities, political experience, and ability to represent the interests of constituents in the senatorial district.

Speaking after her nomination, Natasha expressed appreciation to party members and supporters, pledging to run an issue-based campaign focused on development, inclusion, and effective representation.

The PDP also called on its members across Kogi Central to unite behind the candidate and work toward securing victory at the election.

Political observers note that the contest is expected to attract significant attention, given the strategic importance of the senatorial district and the profile of the candidates involved.

Stakeholders have urged all political parties and supporters to conduct their campaigns peacefully and in accordance with electoral laws.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is expected to continue preparations for the by-election as political activities intensify in the district.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
