Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has sent a strong warning to the Clerk of the National Assembly (CNA), Kamorudeen Ogunlana, cautioning that any attempt to stop her resumption will be met with legal action.

In a letter dated September 10 and signed by her lawyer, Michael Numa (SAN), the senator gave the CNA a deadline of Monday, September 15, 2025, to comply with existing court orders allowing her return to the Senate.

“Take notice that failure to comply by Monday, 15th September 2025, will leave us with no alternative but to initiate proceedings against you personally and in your official capacity,” the letter read.

Her lawyer argued that the Clerk’s alleged refusal to obey a valid court judgment goes against the law and the Code of Conduct for Public Officers. He further warned that Natasha’s legal team could pursue contempt charges, disciplinary sanctions, and liability for inciting a breach of peace if the CNA persists.

This warning comes after Acting Clerk Yahaya Danzaria had earlier written to Akpoti-Uduaghan, informing her that she could not resume duties because her suspension case was still pending in court.

But Natasha insists the Constitution and judicial rulings are on her side, stressing that she will not tolerate any obstruction to her legislative responsibilities.
