NASARAWA SDP CANDIDATE SUPPORTS PREGNANT WOMEN, CAMPAIGN COORDINATORS

The Social Democratic Party governorship candidate in Nasarawa State, Muhammad Abubakar Adamu, has provided support to pregnant women and campaign coordinators as part of activities ahead of the 2027 governorship election. Adamu, a former Inspector-General of Police, carried out the empowerment programme in the state as he continues preparations for the election.

The former police chief extended assistance to pregnant women as part of the programme, with the intervention aimed at supporting beneficiaries during pregnancy and easing some of the challenges associated with maternal care. The initiative formed part of a broader empowerment effort involving members and supporters of his political movement across the state.

Campaign coordinators were also among those who benefited from the programme, receiving support intended to strengthen their activities at the grassroots. The distribution brought together political supporters and beneficiaries as the SDP candidate continues to build his campaign structure across Nasarawa ahead of the 2027 poll.

Adamu has been involved in political activities in Nasarawa after leaving a career in the Nigeria Police Force, where he rose to become Inspector-General of Police. His emergence as the SDP governorship candidate has added another political figure to the contest for the Nasarawa governorship, with parties and aspirants already positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 elections.

The empowerment programme also reflects the growing focus on grassroots mobilisation and community-based initiatives as political activities increase ahead of the next election cycle. Adamu’s campaign is expected to continue engaging different groups across the state as he presents his political platform and seeks support from voters in the build-up to the 2027 governorship election.
