It’s a busy time in the transfer market with two major moves making headlines in Europe.

Serie A champions Napoli are in the final stages of completing a deal for Rasmus Højlund from Manchester United. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Danish striker will join on loan with a buy option clause that becomes mandatory for a fee close to €45 million.

A long-term contract running until June 2030 is already prepared for Højlund, pending the final details of his exit agreement with United. The 21-year-old, who joined United last summer from Atalanta, could now return to Italy to reignite his form in front of goal.

Meanwhile, in Germany, Lucas Vázquez has agreed to join Bayer Leverkusen. The former Real Madrid captain has signed a two-year deal until June 2027 with the Bundesliga champions after completing his medical.

The 34-year-old defender makes the switch as a free agent, bringing his wealth of experience and leadership to Xabi Alonso’s side, who are looking to strengthen ahead of another competitive season in Europe.

With Højlund set for Italy and Vázquez confirmed in Germany, this transfer window continues to deliver big moves that could reshape the season for both clubs.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
