NAFADA CAMP REJECTS APC SWITCH, BACKS PANTAMI

Supporters of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Umaru Nafada, have rejected rumours of defecting from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and reaffirmed their loyalty to the party.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Nafada Political Family also declared support for Dr. Isa Ali Pantami as the preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Gombe State.

The group described Pantami as a “visionary leader with proven integrity and capacity” who can build on the achievements of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.

“We remain committed APC members. There is no plan to defect. Our structure stands solidly behind Dr. Isa Pantami for the governorship,” the statement signed by its coordinator read.

The Nafada camp urged party faithful to ignore distractions and focus on consolidating APC’s dominance in the state.

The endorsement adds to the growing list of influential blocs within the Gombe APC throwing their weight behind the former Communications Minister ahead of the next political cycle.
