MY LIFE EXPERIENCES SHAPE MY SOUND — SOUTH AFRICA-BASED NIGERIAN SINGER, MOET
South Africa-based Nigerian singer and entrepreneur, Moet, fondly known as the Queen of the Two Buns for her distinctive hairstyle, has unveiled her latest single, More Moet, describing it as a reflection of her artistic evolution, passion, and personal growth.
“The new project I’m working on is a single I just released titled More Moet,” she shared, noting that the song captures her personality, confidence, and commitment to authenticity.
Moet, who has steadily made her mark in the music scene, is widely admired for her originality, creativity, and bold self-expression. Her sound — a blend of hip-hop and R&B — fuses personal storytelling with a fearless sense of individuality.
Speaking about her inspiration, she said, “What drives me to do hip-hop and R&B is life itself — the struggles, the desire for freedom from toxic relationships, and the need to express my emotions so others can learn from my journey.”
For Moet, music goes beyond rhythm and melody; it is a reflection of her experiences and emotions. Her lyrics draw from real-life stories and moments of transformation, resonating with listeners who appreciate honesty and vulnerability.
Beyond music, Moet channels her creativity into fashion. She runs a successful clothing brand and personally designs many of the outfits featured in her videos and photoshoots.
“I design and make most of my own outfits. The looks you see in my videos and pictures are mostly created by me,” she revealed.
Speaking on her trademark hairstyle, she said it represents more than just a style choice — it’s part of her identity. “I feel very confident with my hairstyle. It gives me that Barbie vibe and complements whatever I wear,” Moet explained.
As an entrepreneur and musician, Moet sees her work as a fulfillment of purpose. “I love what I do, and with music added to it, it feels like I’m living out my calling — just being me all the way,” she added.
Sharing words of advice for aspiring artistes, she urged them to choose passion over pressure. “When you truly enjoy what you do, it never feels hard to achieve,” she said.
Moet also left a final note for her fans: “Focus on your own life. In the end, you are responsible for your choices and your future.”
