Several passengers sustained injuries this afternoon, Monday, July 7, 2025, after a commercial bus collided with a Toyota Camry and overturned on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.

According to a statement by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) posted on Facebook, the accident occurred at about 1:00 PM, just before Adekunle Junction, en route to Lagos Island.

The impact of the collision caused the commercial bus to somersault several times, leaving many of its occupants injured.

“A commercial bus and a Toyota Camry were involved in a crash before Adekunle Junction. The bus somersaulted multiple times, leaving several passengers injured,” the RRS reported.

RRS patrol teams and bikers promptly arrived at the scene to provide first aid. Officers from the Adekunle Police Division also joined in the rescue efforts.

Emergency responders were swiftly mobilised to the area. Fortunately, no fatalities were recorded. The RRS confirmed that the wrecked vehicles have been removed, and normal traffic flow has since resumed on the route.
