“MR MACARONI BLASTS TINUBU: ‘NIGERIANS’ BLOOD IS ON YOUR HANDS’”

Nigerian actor and social activist Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has taken a swipe at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the rising wave of kidnappings and terrorist attacks across the country.

In a strongly worded post on Friday via his X (Twitter) handle, Mr Macaroni accused the President of failing to deliver on his promises to secure the lives of Nigerians, especially schoolchildren who continue to fall victim to mass abductions.

Recall that before becoming president, Tinubu had repeatedly insisted that any leader who cannot protect citizens is “incompetent”—a statement Mr Macaroni referenced directly.

He wrote:

**“President Tinubu, you said you had all the answers to end terrorism! You said any President who cannot protect the people is incompetent!

Any school child that has been abducted is a result of your incompetence!

The blood of Nigerians being shed as an act of terrorism is on your head!”**

His remarks came in response to the latest attack in Niger State, where terrorists invaded St. Mary’s Secondary School, a Catholic-run institution in the Papiri community of Agwara Local Government Area, and kidnapped an unconfirmed number of students and staff.

The Kotangora Catholic Diocese has confirmed the attack, but as of press time, the school was still tallying the number of missing persons.

Attempts to reach the Niger State Police Command were unsuccessful as the spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, did not answer calls.

This incident comes just days after another mass kidnapping in Kebbi State, where terrorists abducted at least 25 schoolgirls, further intensifying public outrage and calls for decisive government action.

As insecurity worsens, more public figures, activists, and citizens are demanding faster, tougher, and more transparent measures from the Tinubu administration.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
