MOTORIST MIRACULOUSLY ESCAPES DEATH AS TRAIN COLLIDES WITH VEHICLE IN LAGOS

Fifty-five-year-old driver survives severe crash unscathed after a moving locomotive rams into his automobile at a high-traffic railway crossing, leaving the car extensively damaged

A 55-year-old motorist has cheated death in Lagos State after his vehicle was involved in a violent collision with a moving train at the busy PWD railway crossing.  

According to eyewitness accounts and official reports from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the incident occurred during morning transit when the train, heading toward Agege, rammed into a Honda car with registration number EKY 902 JT.  

The impact of the collision inflicted extensive structural damage, reducing the automobile to a near write-off as it was dragged along the tracks before emergency personnel intervened.  

Despite the sheer severity of the impact and the considerable destruction sustained by the vehicle, the driver miraculously emerged from the wreckage without any physical injuries or loss of life.  

Rapid response operatives from LASTMA, alongside allied security personnel, arrived swiftly at the scene to rescue the trapped driver, clear the mangled vehicle off the rail corridor, and restore normalcy to commuter movement.  

While traffic congestion experienced a temporary buildup around the axis, transit authorities successfully cleared the tracks to enable the train to resume its journey.  

Agency leadership has since reiterated urgent safety admonitions to motorists, emphasizing the critical need for strict compliance with rail crossing regulations, heightened vigilance, and patience when approaching active train tracks across the metropolis.
