MORAYO AFOLABI-BROWN EXITS TVC’S ‘YOUR VIEW’ AFTER OVER A DECADE
After more than 10 years as the lead host of Television Continental’s popular morning show Your View, Morayo Afolabi-Brown has officially stepped down from the programme.
Her final appearance aired on Friday, with a heartfelt farewell that left viewers and the live audience emotional. The broadcast featured moving tributes from fans who credited her with inspiring countless women and reshaping conversations on important social issues.
Her co-hosts praised her professionalism and the unique style she brought to the show, while guests highlighted her humility and ability to spotlight others. In a touching message from the United Kingdom, one fan recounted how Your View helped her overcome loneliness after relocating abroad, describing Morayo as a steady source of comfort and connection.
Speaking about her decision, Morayo explained that she sees this transition as the completion of an assignment and hinted at a new chapter in her career.
“This assignment on Your View is now complete. My first step is to rest and hibernate before embarking on my next venture. The show has given many women a voice and inspired other similar programmes. I am deeply grateful to everyone I met through this journey,” she said.
TVC Communications had earlier confirmed her resignation after 12 years with the network. According to a statement by Edward Akintara, TVC’s Manager for PR, Corporate Communications & Marketing, her last official day at the station will be Thursday, August 29, 2025.
The network acknowledged Morayo’s pivotal role in the growth and success of Your View, describing her exit as a major moment in the show’s history but assured viewers of its continuity and quality.
