MILITARY FAMILIES’ WELFARE VITAL TO TROOPS’ MORALE, OLUYEDE’S WIFE SAYS
The wife of the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, has stressed the importance of prioritising the welfare of military families, saying their wellbeing plays a significant role in the morale of personnel.
She noted that military officers and soldiers perform their duties under demanding conditions, making adequate support for their families essential to their emotional stability and overall effectiveness.
According to her, ensuring that the families of service personnel are properly cared for would give officers greater peace of mind while carrying out their responsibilities in the line of duty.
She also emphasised the need for continued attention to issues affecting military families, including their welfare, living conditions and general wellbeing, as part of efforts to strengthen support for personnel.
Her position underscores the connection between the welfare of service members’ families and the effectiveness of the armed forces, particularly as personnel continue to make sacrifices in the interest of national security.
