MIKE TYSON, FLOYD MAYWEATHER SET FOR 2026 EXHIBITION CLASH
Boxing legends Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have agreed to face each other in an exhibition bout scheduled for spring 2026, according to promoter CSI Sports.
Details such as the venue and exact date are yet to be announced, but the matchup promises to be one of the most talked-about events in the sport’s modern era.
Tyson, now 59, boasts a professional record of 50 wins and 7 losses, with 44 of those victories coming by knockout. Widely regarded as the most fearsome heavyweight of his generation, he last entered the ring in November 2024 against YouTuber-turned-fighter Jake Paul in Arlington, Texas. Despite struggling to make an impact in that eight-round contest, the event drew a live audience of about 70,000 and millions more viewers worldwide.
Mayweather, 48, retired in 2017 with an undefeated 50-0 record, having captured world titles across five weight divisions. He has since participated in several exhibition matches, most recently securing a win over John Gotti III in Mexico in August 2024.
Reacting to the announcement, Tyson expressed surprise that the matchup had been finalized.
“When CSI came to me about stepping in the ring with Floyd Mayweather, I thought, ‘No way this happens,’” Tyson said in a statement.
“But Floyd said yes. This fight is something neither the world nor I ever thought possible. Boxing has entered a new era of the unpredictable, and this bout is as unpredictable as it gets.”
