MICAH RICHARDS BACKS MAN CITY TO RECLAIM PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE
Former England defender and football pundit, Micah Richards, has backed Manchester City to reclaim the Premier League title this season, snubbing rivals Liverpool and Arsenal.
Speaking on Sky Sports after the opening weekend fixtures, Richards predicted Pep Guardiola’s men would bounce back strongly after losing the crown to Liverpool last season.
City had previously dominated English football with four consecutive league titles, but their run was halted as Liverpool finished 10 points clear of Arsenal, who once again settled for second place.
When asked for his top-five predictions, Richards said:
“Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur.”
Richards’ faith in City comes after their impressive start to the season with a 4-0 win over Wolves. Meanwhile, Liverpool defeated Bournemouth 4-2, and Arsenal edged Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford.
With the race already heating up, Richards believes City’s experience and squad depth will make the difference as they aim to reclaim their crown.
