Real Madrid star and France captain Kylian Mbappe has called on fans and the media to stop focusing on the personal life of Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal.

Speaking ahead of France’s World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan on Friday night, Mbappe described Yamal as an exceptional footballer but reminded people that he is still very young and deserves privacy.

“People talk a lot about his personal life. I think they should leave him alone,” Mbappe told Movistar.
“In football, he is a great player, but in life, he is an 18-year-old kid.”
