MARY NJOKU SLAMS HANDLING OF IBOM AIR PASSENGER, CALLS IT A VIOLATION OF DIGNITY
Nollywood actress Mary Njoku has condemned the way Comfort Emmanson, a female passenger, was treated during her removal from an Ibom Air flight, describing it as a serious violation of her dignity.
Reacting on Instagram on Tuesday, Njoku said she had no objection to the airline offloading a passenger if necessary, but found the alleged act of stripping Emmanson and sharing the video online unacceptable.
“I understand removing her from the plane, that’s not the issue,” Njoku wrote. “What I cannot understand is stripping her while doing so and then putting it all over the internet.”
The actress emphasized that airline and airport staff are trained professionals, and dehumanizing someone should never be part of that process — regardless of any wrongdoing.
Njoku also stated that Emmanson deserves compensation for the “damage done to her life and dignity,” urging for accountability over the incident.
