MARMOUSH SET FOR TOTTENHAM MOVE AFTER SPURS AGREE LOAN DEAL WITH MAN CITY

Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Manchester City to bring Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush to North London on an initial season-long loan, with the deal including an obligation to make the transfer permanent under agreed conditions.

Marmoush, 27, is expected to undergo a medical before completing the move. Reports indicate that Tottenham will be required to make the transfer permanent for an initial £50 million, with the overall value potentially rising to around £60 million depending on add-ons.

The Egyptian international joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 for a reported £59 million. However, he struggled to secure a regular starting position as competition for attacking places increased at the Premier League champions.

The move would make Marmoush the latest Manchester City player to join Tottenham this summer, following Brazilian winger Sávio, who completed a £75 million transfer to Spurs with potential add-ons taking the deal to £85 million.

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi is continuing to reshape his squad after a difficult previous campaign. The club has already invested heavily in new players and is looking to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.

For Marmoush, the switch offers an opportunity to play more regularly and rediscover the form that made him one of Europe's highly sought-after forwards during his time at Frankfurt. His pace, movement and ability to operate across the frontline could provide Spurs with another attacking option as they seek to improve their fortunes.
