MANEG MOVES TO HELP SMES ACCESS EXPORT INCENTIVES
has intensified efforts to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) gain access to export incentives and expand their participation in international markets.
The initiative is aimed at equipping businesses with the knowledge, support, and resources needed to benefit from government export promotion programmes and improve their competitiveness.
MANEG said increasing SME participation in non-oil exports is essential to boosting foreign exchange earnings, diversifying Nigeria’s economy, and creating sustainable employment opportunities.
Export stakeholders noted that many SMEs are yet to fully utilise available incentives due to limited awareness, financing challenges, and difficulties in meeting export standards and regulatory requirements.
They called for stronger collaboration between government agencies, financial institutions, and industry groups to simplify access to export support schemes and strengthen the capacity of local businesses.
MANEG reaffirmed its commitment to supporting exporters through advocacy, training, and market development initiatives that will enable more Nigerian SMEs to compete successfully in regional and global markets.
