MAN UNITED SET TO OFFLOAD SANCHO, GARNACHO THIS SUMMER – EX-SCOUT REVEALS
Man United Planning Summer Clear-Out – Garnacho, Sancho on Exit List, Says Ex-Scout
Former Manchester United scout, Mick Brown, has revealed that the club is actively looking to sell several players during the 2025 summer transfer window — and top names like Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho are on the list.
In an interview with Football Insider, Brown shared insider information on United’s transfer plans, stating that while Kobbie Mainoo was once considered for a move, the club has had a change of heart and now sees him as a key part of the team’s future.
“There are a number of players Man United want to get rid of,” Brown said.
“From what I understand, Kobbie Mainoo isn’t one of them after a change of mind.”
He added that Garnacho and Sancho — both left out of pre-season training — are among those the club is looking to sell to raise funds.
“The likes of [Alejandro] Garnacho, [Jadon] Sancho, and others who have been left out of training in pre-season — that’s who the club are looking to raise money from,” he added.
Brown also criticized the initial idea of selling Mainoo, calling it a “crazy” move, given the young midfielder’s growing importance to the squad.
While Manchester United has yet to confirm any official sales, the update adds fuel to growing speculation about a major squad overhaul at Old Trafford this summer as the club seeks to balance its books and strengthen key areas.
Fans will now be watching closely as the transfer window heats up, hoping that promising talents like Mainoo stay — and that any departures are backed by strong replacements.
