MAN UNITED OFFERED VARDY, CALVERT-LEWIN, WILSON AS FREE AGENT OPTIONS TO BOOST ATTACK
Manchester United are on the hunt for fresh firepower this summer, and manager Ruben Amorim may have an unexpected solution on his hands. With goals hard to come by last season—just 44 scored in 38 Premier League games—the Red Devils are eager to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
According to reports from The Athletic, United have been offered the chance to sign three proven Premier League strikers, all available on free transfers: Jamie Vardy, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Callum Wilson.
Vardy, a former Leicester City hero, and Calvert-Lewin, recently released by Everton, both bring plenty of Premier League experience. Meanwhile, Wilson, who parted ways with Newcastle on Monday, could also be a valuable addition to Amorim’s squad.
Earlier in the summer, United had drawn up a shortlist of five attacking targets. One of them, Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres, was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford but is now reportedly close to joining Arsenal, forcing United to explore alternative options.
So far, the only forward addition United have managed is Matheus Cunha from Wolves, leaving fans hopeful for more reinforcements before the new season kicks off.
With the new campaign fast approaching, bringing in experienced forwards like Vardy, Calvert-Lewin, or Wilson on free deals could prove to be a shrewd way to add depth and goals without breaking the bank.
