MAN DIES AFTER FALLING INTO FATHER’S GRAVE IN BRAZIL

A 48-year-old man has died after the cover of his father’s grave gave way beneath him at a cemetery in Brazil.

The incident happened on Wednesday, October 21, at São José Cemetery in Linhares, Espírito Santo state. Local reports identified the victim as Adilson Maçaro.

According to Folha Vitória, Maçaro had reportedly gone to the cemetery to attend a friend’s funeral. While there, he visited his father’s grave and sat on its cover, which broke, causing him to fall inside.

Firefighters were called to the scene and found him dead. His body was taken to the regional forensic facility for a post-mortem examination.

Linhares municipal authorities expressed sympathy to his family and friends. Civil Police said they would investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

The investigation is expected to establish how the incident occurred.
