MAN CITY ASK STEFAN ORTEGA TO LEAVE AS TRANSFER MOVES HEAT UP
Man City Tell Goalkeeper Stefan Ortega to Find New Club After Trafford’s Arrival
Manchester City have reportedly told their second-choice goalkeeper, Stefan Ortega, to leave the Etihad this summer. This decision comes following the return of James Trafford, who is expected to play a bigger role in City’s squad next season.
According to reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Ortega is now exploring his options as the club prepares for the 2025/2026 campaign with Trafford in their plans.
Meanwhile, the transfer window remains busy across Europe and beyond:
NEOM SC, a Saudi Arabian club, have reached an agreement with AS Monaco to sign highly-rated 19-year-old winger Saïmon Bouabré. The deal is reportedly worth €10 million, with an additional €2 million in add-ons and a sell-on clause. Bouabré is currently in talks over personal terms with the club.
Over in the Premier League, Everton are still waiting on Malick Fofana to make a final decision about his future. The young winger is said to be holding out for a club that can offer UEFA Champions League football, which may work against Everton’s hopes.
In preparation, Everton have started looking at alternatives. The club has made enquiries about Assane Diao and Takefusa Kubo, both currently at Como. However, Como have already rejected at least one bid for Diao this summer, showing their intent to keep hold of key players.
As the transfer season continues, fans can expect more twists, big moves, and last-minute surprises before the window closes.
