‘MADUEKE IS BETTER THAN SAKA’ – PAUL PARKER QUESTIONS CHELSEA’S SALE TO ARSENAL
Former England defender Paul Parker has criticized Chelsea’s decision to allow Noni Madueke to leave for Arsenal, insisting the winger is even more dangerous than Bukayo Saka.
Speaking to WhichBookie after Madueke scored in England’s World Cup qualifying match against Serbia on Tuesday, Parker described the player as one of the nation’s most exciting wide men.
According to him, Madueke’s dribbling ability and tendency to take on defenders make him a greater threat than Saka, who he noted rarely attacks from the outside.
“Chelsea let Noni Madueke go to Arsenal even though he’s one of England’s best wingers, and he was probably their best player against Andorra,” Parker said.
“I thought it was a strange decision for Chelsea to let him go. With the way he plays, I actually think he’s better than Bukayo Saka. Saka doesn’t go on the outside.”
Madueke made the switch from Chelsea to Arsenal during the FIFA World Cup, a tournament Chelsea eventually won in the United States.
