LUIS ENRIQUE: REAL MADRID UNDER ALONSO HARD TO FIGURE OUT AHEAD OF CLUB WORLD CUP CLASH
Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has admitted that analysing the current Real Madrid team under Xabi Alonso is no easy task.
Speaking ahead of PSG’s high-stakes Club World Cup semi-final clash against the Spanish giants on Wednesday night, Enrique praised Real Madrid for their depth and quality, highlighting just how unpredictable they can be.
“This Real Madrid team is difficult to analyze,” Enrique said during his pre-match press conference (via El Larguero). “We know they all have quality and are very strong. Xabi Alonso has everything it takes to handle a club like Real Madrid.”
Real Madrid come into the game on the back of a thrilling 3-2 victory over Bayern Munich, while PSG also booked their semi-final place with a 2-0 win against the same German side.
Wednesday’s blockbuster showdown is set to kick off at 8pm Nigerian time and promises to be a tactical battle. Fans will be keen to see how Enrique’s PSG handle the fluid, unpredictable style Alonso has brought to Real Madrid.
Whoever triumphs will earn a spot in the Club World Cup final, where Chelsea — fresh off their semi-final win over Fluminense — await.
