Former Inter Milan striker, Nicola Ventola, has stated that Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman, was treated unfairly during the summer transfer window.

Ventola claimed that certain promises made to the Nigerian international were not fulfilled, which prevented his move from Atalanta to Inter Milan.

Speaking to Viva el Futbol, the 47-year-old said:

“Personally, I believe Lookman was the one who suffered an injustice during the summer. After two years, there were promises that were not kept.”

Lookman reportedly pushed for a transfer to Inter Milan, submitting a request and skipping training sessions. However, the move eventually fell through, and he remained with Atalanta.

The 27-year-old joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022 and played a key role in helping the club secure the UEFA Europa League title.
