Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has expressed interest in joining Galatasaray, inspired by the warm reception and support shown to fellow Nigerian, Victor Osimhen, at the Turkish Super Lig champions.

Turkish journalist Ferhat Kızıltaş revealed that Lookman has been closely following Galatasaray’s matches and is impressed by the passion of the club’s fans. “He wants to play here,” Kızıltaş told Habersarikirmizi, highlighting Lookman’s admiration for Osimhen’s treatment by the club and supporters.

Lookman, who attempted to leave Napoli during the summer transfer window, remains with the Serie A side but is linked with a potential move to Galatasaray in 2026, ahead of the January transfer window. Kızıltaş added that if Galatasaray makes an official offer, there is a high likelihood the transfer will go through.

Currently, Lookman is with the Super Eagles as they prepare for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff against Gabon on Thursday. His potential move to Turkey could mark a new chapter in his career, following in the footsteps of Osimhen’s successful stint at Galatasaray.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
