LIZZY GOLD FIRES BACK AT EKENE UMENWA AMID BODY ODOUR CONTROVERSY
Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold has publicly confronted her colleague, Ekene Umenwa, over alleged falsehoods she reportedly spread about fellow actors.
Upcoming actress Adanma Waller, also known as Priscawalls, had shared a video exposing Ekene, accusing her of badmouthing several colleagues, including Ruby Ojiakor, Lizzy Gold, Chioma Chijioke, Uche Nancy, Chinedu Isaac, and others.
Taking to Instagram, Lizzy highlighted the irony of Ekene referring to herself as “Jesus Baby” while allegedly fabricating stories to tarnish her colleagues’ reputations in an attempt to appear superior.
Lizzy firmly denied claims regarding her personal hygiene and shut down rumors that she has two children from different men. She criticized Ekene for involving her name in gossip despite Lizzy’s efforts to maintain her privacy, describing her as a “terrible human being” and urging her to seek God’s forgiveness.
She wrote:
"How can you call yourself Jesus Baby and yet sit and fabricate huge lies to tarnish your colleagues’ image? Is it so you could come off as the better person? Me, body odour!? Everyone in Nollywood knows my personal hygiene—it’s not something I need to prove. That my two kids are from different men? How? Are we friends? Do you know anything about me? This is exactly why I maintain my space to avoid your kind, yet you still found a way to involve my name in your cheap, dirty gossip. Jesus Baby, my foot. You’d better ask God for forgiveness and mercy. You are such a terrible human being. Do you know how long it took me to build this brand? It is well."
Reacting to the drama, actress Destiny Etiko expressed her disbelief, noting she thought Lizzy and Ekene were close. She questioned Ekene’s motives, stating that although Ekene had asked for forgiveness, she has not forgotten the lies, which she considers an abomination. Etiko revealed that Ekene targeted her because of her good relationship with her mother.
