LIVERPOOL TAKE FIRM DECISION ON ARNE SLOT’S FUTURE AMID POOR RUN
Liverpool have made it clear that they have no plans to sack manager Arne Slot despite the team’s recent struggles across competitions.
The Reds’ poor form continued on Wednesday night after a 3–0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield saw them crash out of the Carabao Cup — their sixth loss in seven games. The slump has also seen Liverpool drop to seventh in the Premier League, having lost four consecutive league matches and falling seven points behind leaders Arsenal.
Slot, who made ten changes to his starting lineup against Crystal Palace following the 3–1 loss to Brentford, has come under increasing scrutiny from fans and pundits.
However, BBC Sport reports that the club has “no intention whatsoever” of dismissing the Dutch manager, insisting that he still has “plenty of credit in the bank.”
Slot, 47, remains highly regarded at Anfield after leading Liverpool to a Premier League title in his debut season. The club’s hierarchy is said to be confident he can turn the team’s fortunes around in the coming weeks.
