LIONEL MESSI SCORES TWICE AS INTER MIAMI DEFEATS ATLANTA UNITED 3-1 IN MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER CLASH

Argentine superstar delivers commanding two-goal performance to secure crucial victory for Herons as playoff race intensifies

Lionel Messi delivered a masterclass performance, scoring two goals to guide Inter Miami to a resounding 3-1 victory over Atlanta United in their Major League Soccer encounter.

The Eight-time Ballon d'Or winner put Inter Miami ahead in the first half with a clinical finish after capitalizing on a swift team passing sequence around the edge of the penalty area.

Atlanta United responded with an equalizer shortly after, taking advantage of a defensive lapse from the hosts to restore parity before the halftime whistle.

However, Inter Miami regained control early in the second half when Messi struck his second goal of the match, curling a characteristic left-footed effort into the top corner beyond the reach of the goalkeeper.

Inter Miami sealed the victory in the closing minutes of the match as a late counterattack resulted in a third goal, ending any hopes of an Atlanta United comeback.

The result provides a significant boost to Inter Miami's standing in the Eastern Conference, underscoring Messi's continued decisive influence on the club's domestic campaign.
