Nollywood star Eniola Ajao has broken her silence following renewed speculations about her alleged romantic relationship with fellow actor Odunlade Adekola.

The actress has come under scrutiny after a viral video captured her avoiding the camera during the burial of Odunlade’s father last week, sparking conversations online.

For years, Ajao has been linked romantically with Adekola, but she has consistently dismissed the claims. Taking to her Instagram story on Wednesday, the actress described the latest round of allegations as an attempt to tarnish her image.

She wrote:

“You can’t fix every lie and rumour, nor can you defend yourself every time. Just be great. People may destroy your image, stain your personality, but they can’t take away your good deeds because no matter how they describe you, you will still be admired by those who know you better.”

In another post, Ajao added that “life hits differently when you stop trying to prove yourself.”

The actress made it clear that she would not be dragged into endless denials, stressing that her focus remains on her career and personal growth rather than gossip.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
