LEBRON JAMES SIDELINED WITH SCIATICA, TO MISS START OF NEW NBA SEASON
LeBron James Ruled Out for Season Opener After Sciatica Diagnosis
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will miss the start of the upcoming NBA season after being diagnosed with sciatica, a condition causing nerve pain that radiates along the lower back and leg.
According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the 40-year-old veteran is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks, delaying the start of what would be his 23rd NBA season.
Reports indicate that the sciatica is affecting the right side of his body — marking yet another injury setback for the four-time NBA champion and MVP.
LeBron’s recent seasons have been hampered by various fitness issues. Last season, he suffered an MCL sprain in his left knee, forcing him to miss key games, including parts of the playoffs. He also dealt with nerve irritation in his glute, which caused him to sit out the start of training camp.
Despite these challenges, James remains one of the league’s most consistent performers and a cornerstone of the Lakers’ championship ambitions. Fans will be hoping for a swift recovery as the team begins its campaign without its leader on the court.
