As part of the 2025 International Youth Day celebrations, LAPO Microfinance Bank (MfB) has reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment and financial inclusion by engaging corps members at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Sagamu, Ogun State.
The bank hosted a variety of activities, including financial literacy sessions, entrepreneurial challenges, and interactive games, designed to equip young Nigerians with essential money management skills, business insights, and a strong savings culture.
Corps members also participated in knowledge-based quizzes, business pitch contests, and team challenges, with winners going home with exciting cash prizes. The activities were aimed at encouraging innovation, problem-solving, and financial discipline among participants.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Oluremi Akande, Director of Marketing and Communications at LAPO MfB, stressed that empowering young people remains at the heart of the bank’s mission.
“At LAPO Microfinance Bank, youth empowerment is not just a corporate social responsibility; it is a strategic investment in the nation’s future. The enthusiasm, innovation, and resilience of Nigerian youths inspire our drive to provide them with financial knowledge and opportunities that can translate into sustainable livelihoods,” he said.
Through this initiative, LAPO MfB continues to position itself as a strong partner in building financially independent and empowered young Nigerians, while contributing to national development.
